Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Teddi Mellencamp revealed that her family already has plans for her death. The reality TV star has just suffered a devastating health update, but remained her typical jokey self as she relayed a conversation with her dad.
Teddi, 43, revealed on February 12 that she’d been rushed to hospital after having tests following weeks of debilitating symptoms. The results showed that she had several new brain tumours, two of which she got surgically removed while the smaller masses were treated with radiotherapy.
Just last week after going through her hospital treatment, Teddi shared that she has now been diagnosed with stage four cancer after the disease metastasised to her lungs and brain.

Speaking to her fellow Bravo star Tamra Judge on their podcast Two Ts In a Pod this week, Teddi described a morose chat she’d had with her musician dad John Mellencamp following the heartbreaking news.
The Mellencamps have a family mausoleum in Indiana, and Teddi revealed that John was keen to make plans for her own plot on the ground.
She described getting multiple calls from her dad, and said: “Finally, I answer, I’m like, ‘I’m in the bath. Let me live a little’.’’ He goes, ‘I just want to make sure you’re going to be in our group family mausoleum’.”
Joking about John’s focus on the logistics, Teddi recalled: “He’s like, ‘Well, there’s going to be the top five and then we’re gonna have little areas around it, and then that’s where everyone’s going to get buried.’ He goes, ‘You’re doing your will right now, so you may as well put it in there’.”
Teddi shared that despite how jarring the call was, she ended up agreeing with her dad and has planned a visit to Indiana to see the family plot. She also added that “Hot girls never die” would be engraved on her tombstone when the time comes.
Alongside being a TV icon, Teddi is a mum to three children: Slate, 12; Cruz, 10; and Dove, five - and her latest diagnosis forced her to consider the idea that she might not always be there for them.
Announcing the news on Instagram, she wrote: "I had six brain tumours and two lung tumours; they all came from melanoma that metastasised into these tumours inside of my body."
She went on to explain how her treatment plan has now changed due to the new discoveries. "I find out for sure exactly where we stand on June 1," Teddi said. "If you need to do another round, if there’s any other surgery, if it’s the end. It’s a hard pill to swallow.

"It’s got to be extremely difficult to think about the end.' This is definitely the hardest thing [I’ve faced in my life], but now it feels less hard. When I was in the ICU, it was incredibly difficult because I had no memory.
"One day, I realised it was my daughter’s birthday, and I couldn’t be there for it; it was really sad. It’s still sad when I can’t be there for my kids the way I’d normally be."
