Find a quality-checked dentist and book your teeth whitening in Thailand with Dental Departures.
Aussies and Kiwis visit southeast Asia more than anywhere else in the world–and Thailand is their number one destination. Having a teeth whitening treatment here while on holiday makes sense as it will only take a few hours out of your precious holiday time, but will save at least 50% on costs back at home.
An unbeatable holiday destination, Thailand's dental services are gaining respect and parallelling its tourism trade. Regardless of whether you are trekking in Chiang Mai, bargaining hard in Bangkok or indulging in some rest and recuperation on one of its many idyllic beaches, Thailand is sure to deliver, either as a holiday destination or for its dental services.
1: Quality of Care: Thailand’s dental facilities are excellent. Having been leaders in dental tourism for many years the infrastructure and expertise here are second-to-none. Thailand was the first country in Asia to gain accreditation with the prestigious Joint Commission International, an organization that monitors and certifies global healthcare standards.
2: Access to Options: By booking with Dental Departures you will be given access to quality-checked dentists whose qualifications and expertise are verified - and you are able to check this information for yourself on our website. Along with real patient reviews and lots of other valuable information we provide you with the information you require in order to choose a reliable dentist. Some of our popular clinics in Thailand for teeth whitening include:
- Bangkok Smile - Dr. Paulo Malo Global Network Headquarters
- Sea Smile Dental Clinic (Phuket)
- The Dental Design Center (Pattaya)
3: Big Savings:Visiting a Thailand dentist for teeth whitening treatments is cost-effective, and we will guarantee that you won’t pay more than you need to.
It must be remembered that teeth whitening treatments can cause permanent damage to your teeth if you overdo it. This is why it is always recommended you seek a dentist’s advice before you have any form of teeth whitening treatment. Although over-the-counter whitening products tend to have few bleaching ingredients, using them too much could be harmful long-term.
So, arm yourself with the facts about whitening treatments and make sure that you are a suitable candidate without any underlying dental health issues, such as active gum disease, or tooth decay. Also, not all stains will be removed with whitening treatments. Antibiotic staining, for example, is on the inside of the tooth and will not be affected by whitening treatments.
The length of the whitening procedure depends on whether you are having laser teeth whitening in a dentist’s clinic or whether you are using the at-home professional whitening kits. Both methods use a gel containing a bleaching agent, with the in-house laser system being the strongest.
Laser Teeth Whitening: For the quickest and most noticeable results, laser teeth whitening is the best choice, taking only around two hours to complete.
The process involves the application of the gel to your teeth, with the laser’s beam directly activating the bleaching agent in the gel. The gel is applied in 3 x 20-minute intervals and the laser-activated after each application. Your dentist will be careful to ensure the soft tissues in your mouth are covered so the gel only comes into contact with your teeth and you will be given protective goggles to protect your eyes from the laser beam. After the third and final application, your dentist will remove all traces of the gel and clean your teeth thoroughly to complete the procedure.
Professional Home Whitening Kits: The professional whitening kits involve the application of the gel to your teeth by using a tray that fits over your teeth. The tray will need to be made specially to fit your teeth and so you will need an appointment with your dentist for the impressions to be made to send to the lab where the trays are custom-made.
After a few days, you will return to your dentist to pick up the trays and the gel. You will be shown how to use them and will probably have to wear them each night for a number of weeks until you are happy with the results.
Teeth whitening treatments are one of the most affordable of all the cosmetic dentistry procedures in Thailand, and with so little time involved why not treat yourself to that new white smile?
